Has anyone noticed the old switcheroo that KFC is up to these days? A few weeks ago, I noticed these ads on TV that position my favorite fast food in the same upscale category as gourmet coffee and refer to the dirty bird as "Kitchen Fresh Chicken." I'm sorry, but for me that just conjures images of Salmonella. It was bad enough when they started calling themselves KFC, but "Kitchen Fresh Chicken?!!" Give me a break. What's next: no more buckets?
This is the biggest about-face since Budweiser went from "Beechwood Aged" to "Brewery Fresh." Bring back the 11 different herbs & spices (let's see: salt, pepper, MSG...) and that old-time Kentucky Fried goodness positioning. After all, we all know that it's practically health food.

I've finally gotten around to posting some images of GG, whose name is Gabrielle Georgina Dow McMillan, in case you missed the front page of Filbert. You can click on the thumbnails for a larger image. Yesterday was her one week anniversary, which she celebrated by making the mother of all poopies.
From her birth day:
GG the second after she came out. That's Dr. Moyes sucking the gunge out of her nose.
Dad giving her her first diapering, minutes after being born, and just before he spent 20 minutes accidentally inverting her first shirt.
The proud maternal grandparents.
Birth weight: 8 pounds 12 ounces.
Here are some more photos from her first week.
