merry christmas

islay had a double christmas this year. first, a lovely time with papa in san francisco, and now a colder, icy visit to the family home in saint-sauveur. she's danced to the nutcracker, played in the snow, and generally gone a little bit wild over the holidays, surrounded and indulged by her loving relatives and friends.

easter with islay

with mummy down in la for the weekend, papa came to help out daddy and spend easter weekend with gigi and islay. it was fun, thanks to the patron saints of north beach children, our friends china and tony, who threw a lovely easter egg hunt in michelangelo park, up in russian hill. islay didn't care much for the eggs, though. with some prompting, she picked up a couple, and then dumped them into a big bucket of soap, which was where all the real fun was to be had easter sunday. sister gigi had a good time playing with papa and her neighborhood friends too. greetings from ocean beach

it's been unseasonably warm in san francisco this weekend. outrageously warm, in fact. islay capitalized on the 80 degree weather saturday by accompanying her parents on a jaunt to ocean beach. just off seal rock, she played in the water, took in some sun and, inexplicably, was drawn to the graffiti and trash. here are some shots of the wonderful excursion.

islay maeve remains the cutest 1 year-old in san francisco and here are the photos to prove it. she was a mermaid for halloween this year and danced the evening away at our community halloween party at joe dimaggio playground.
